Last week, a reporter from our local Spectrum News channel paid a visit to our STARS (Syracuse Thunderbirds Aero Radio Society) flying field. The reporter was interested in doing a short human interest story about activities that can be done in a socially distancing COVID19 world. Flying model airplanes seemed to be of interest to them.
I had the pleasure of being one of the STARS members that was interviewed. I also had a chance to fly my Twister for the reporter and demonstrate Control Line flying. The reporter then filmed a variety of scenes at the R/C portion of the flying field. What resulted from his visit are the photos and video which are on display here in this FlyBoyz post. This human interest story turned into a great little segment highlighting flying model airplanes and gave a particular boost to flying Control Line! Enjoy!
