It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s … not Superman?! A whole generation of totally insane daredevils are turning their bodies into flying machines and, with reckless abandon, soaring around international monuments, through caves, and above clouds at up to 140 mph.
When I first saw one of these videos, I thought ‘how insane is that?!’. Now that I have seen 3 of these videos, I’m thinking ‘that is TOTALLY insane!’. LOL!
These 3 videos represent something new to me, Wingsuit Flying. Wingsuit flying is similar to the ‘Jetman’ style of flying that I posted about several months ago (www.flyboyzblog.com/jetman/) only minus the jet engine! I’ll save the descriptions as the videos speak for themselves. I will say that, besides the wingsuit flying itself, there is something of interest to keep your eye out for in each of these videos. In the first one, the identity of the ‘Winner’ of the race brought a smile to my face. In the second video, I kept wondering where they were going to land given all the high rises of Manhattan and the Hudson river as the only visible options. But they had it all figured out and their landing site was cool. The last video was a good bit of documentary of the attempt to do something that was never done before.
I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I did. And if you decide to do any Wingsuit Flying on your own, tell them that FlyBoyz sent you!
