Here is a cool little video that has been making the rounds of the online forums over the past week. As a result, many of you may have already seen it but for those FlyBoyz readers who may not have caught it, here is your chance.
The video documents the building process for a typical stick and tissue, rubber powered, free flight model airplane. In this case, the subject model is a walnut scale Dumas free flight kit of an Albatros D-5. The model was photographed in stop motion with a Nikon D 800 during the construction phase. Select construction and air phases were also partially filmed live. I find this video to be an excellent overview of what is involved in the building of a typical free flight model plane. Hopefully, it will entice some of you to give it a try!
