In an effort to keep FlyBoyz readers updated with the latest news on this topic, I am publishing a link to an article that appeared in today’s edition of USAToday. I realize that there is a lot of press being devoted to this topic and it is a constantly evolving topic, so this information may be dated before you get to read it. However, I found this article to be a good high-level general overview of the governments’ latest actions and as such wanted to share it sooner than later. There will be much more detailed information and analysis available on both the FAA and AMA websites.
And ‘Yes’, I understand that within the hobby world, ‘Drones’ are more correctly referred to as either ‘quadcopters’ or ‘multi-rotors’. However, for purposes of this FlyBoyz post, I am referring to them by the vernacular most often used by the general public and media.
