Vintage 1950’s kit. The two rarest kits from the Sterling “C” series are the Ryan STA and the POLISH FIGHTER. This is Sterling kit C-5, the 36″ span POLISH FIGHTER; one of the rarest of the series. This is an awesome looking model and the kit is a great collectible. The ability to collect all in the series is becoming more difficult with time and kits of this model (C-5) in mint condition have regularly sold in the past in the $400 range.

Kit is in good condition. Box displays hanger rash with worn edges and corners with tape but is intact. Kit contents are in very good condition. Plans are yellowed with age and have some split fold seams but are totally useable. Some parts have been removed from manufacturers sheet stock.

Note: The kit is missing the formed wire landing gear and some balsa sheet stock pieces but these are easily replaced and duplicated from the plans. The original custom aluminum spinner has been replaced with another aluminum spinner that totally works with the model. The price of the kit has been discounted to account for these deficiencies.
