This is one of those ‘must watch’ aviation related videos that I just love looking out for and then sharing once I do find them.
This is an amazing cockpit view of the descent and landing through thick clouds into Queenstown, New Zealand. Known as “the land of the long white cloud”, you could easily encounter this scenario if you fly into New Zealand. This video also presents a good example of ‘clouds with rocks in them’.
From a pilots view it is easy to understand how sometimes what a pilot sees in a day other people won’t see in their lifetimes. Also, a pilot must also have great faith in their instruments to pilot an approach like this but the rush must be amazing.
